I’m a Trinidadian marine biologist specialising in deep-sea biology. I study the weird and wonderful animals living in a range of deep-sea habitats and how our actions are impacting them.

I am currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at the Natural History Museum, London, UK, a Lead of the Deep-Ocean Stewardship Initiative’s Minerals Working Group, and a member of the Species Survival Commission’s Marine Conservation Committee of the IUCN.

I’ve participated in deep-sea expeditions around the world and have an extensive science communication and outreach record.

I’m also a co-founder of the non-profit NGO, SpeSeas, dedicated to increasing marine science, education and advocacy in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean.
